When using the facilities of the Club members may either:- i) settle the charge at that time by credit card, cash or cheque; or ii) sign to authorise the applicable amount to be charged to their membership account. A statement is sent at the beginning of each month detailing all charges for the previous month. Accounts must be settled within 30 days.
Spouses/partners of Members must be accompanied by a Member unless they have been accepted as an Associate Member or are attending a private function. Children are welcome at the family nights and evening dining when accompanied by a Member, and are also welcome to attend private functions.
Yes, Members have the privilege of introducing guests as visitors to the Club, provided that their names and addresses are entered in the Members’ Guest Book on each occasion that they are introduced. Note that this procedure is not necessary when guests accompany Members to a private function room.
The new Member is given a membership number and is sent information regarding the Club. He or she is also invited to the next "Welcome to New Members" Introduction Evening.
The proposal goes to the next Committee meeting for consideration.
Subject to the approval of the Committee, the two listed referees are contacted. When both referees have responded, a notice of pending membership is posted on the Club’s noticeboard for fourteen (14) days. If there are no objections to membership, a letter is sent to the Nominee requesting payment of Entrance and Subscription fees - membership is granted subject to receipt of these fees.
Contact the Club for a New Member Proposal Form or print one from this site. Relevant information on the procedure accompanies this form. Each New Member Proposal requires a Proposer and a Seconder (who must have been Members for at least two years), and two referees (who are both Club Members). Please note that it is the responsibility of the Proposer to contact the referees to ensure that they are both willing to provide a reference for the Nominee. The Proposer, Seconder and Nominee must all sign the New Member Proposal Form before it is returned to the Club.
